Sharpstone studio is a quiet retreat offering self-catering holiday accommodation consisting of one double bedroom, bathroom, and large kitchen/living area. The studio is situated in the Somerset village of Freshford five miles from the elegant city of Bath. The studio is within an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with impressive views across the Limpley Stoke valley and the ancient Friary Wood.

Village & area
Within a few minutes walk from the studio lies the river Frome ideal for fishing and a refreshing dip in the hot summer months. The local amenities include the idyllic Freshford Inn dating back to the 16th century, a well- stocked community run shop and cafe and a train station with regular trains to Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and London. Only a five minute stroll from the studio is Homewood park hotel, which boasts two AA rosettes and offers outstanding dining and sumptuous cream teas.

Studio Kitchen
The kitchen space is fully equipped with a washing machine, fridge freezer, ironing facilities and all your cookware and utensils.
Apples from our garden will be available when in season.
Location
The village of Freshford is one of the attractive villages set in the deep sided Limpley Stoke valley. The River Frome joins with the River Avon on the edge of the parish and there is a wonderful network of local footpaths across the countryside. A gentle stroll from the studio brings you to the Grade 1 Italian Peto gardens of Iford Manor and a short drive brings you to the American Museum.

Nearby Attractions
Bath is nearby, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world famous ancient Roman Baths, The pump rooms and Thermae Baths. Other architectural highlights include The Royal Crescent, The Circus and Bath Abbey. In the surrounding area we also have popular attractions including Longleat Safari Park, Iford manor with its Italian Peto Gardens, Lacock Abbey, the birthplace of photography and the quaint market towns of Bradford on Avon and Wells.

Green living
Sharpstone studio has been renovated and is run as an eco-friendly project. Below are some of the ways we have ensured that we have a minimum effect on the environment:
- The studio is constructed from reclaimed or FSC timber.
- The studio is fully insulated with "Thermafleece" a product made from wool off cuts from British sheep.
- The boiler, washing machine and fridge are A rated, and the electricity is supplied by Green Energy from a renewable source.
- The Velux windows are solar powered.
- Most of our cleaning products are environmentally friendly.
- We use vegetables from our organic garden, or from local suppliers as part of the welcome box*. Organic eggs are also available from our chickens.
- We have full recycling facilities.
